Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Microbiologist to join our laboratory team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting microbiological testing, identifying microorganisms, analyzing samples, and supporting quality and safety protocols. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the safety, quality, and compliance of products or environmental conditions, depending on the industry.
The role requires a strong understanding of microbiological techniques, laboratory equipment, and relevant regulatory standards. Whether it's working in pharmaceuticals, food safety, healthcare, or industrial research, your contribution will support critical decision-making and product safety.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sample Analysis

Collect, culture, and analyze various samples (air, water, food, raw materials, surfaces, clinical specimens, etc.).

Identify bacterial, viral, fungal, or other microbial contaminants using microscopic examination and biochemical tests.

Perform sterility testing and microbial limit tests as per standard procedures.
2. Laboratory Work

Prepare media, reagents, and test solutions for routine and special microbiological procedures.

Maintain aseptic conditions to prevent contamination during sample handling and analysis.

Operate and calibrate laboratory equipment such as autoclaves, incubators, colony counters, and laminar flow hoods.
3. Quality Control & Documentation

Conduct routine microbiological testing of raw materials, finished products, or environmental samples.

Maintain accurate records of lab findings, testing logs, and compliance documents.

Ensure adherence to industry standards such as ISO, GMP, GLP, or HACCP based on the operational sector.
4. Research & Development

Assist in designing and executing research experiments for product development or improvement.

Analyze results, interpret findings, and contribute to scientific reports or technical documentation.
5. Safety & Compliance
-
Follow all lab safety protocols, including the proper disposal of biohazard waste.

Participate in audits and ensure readiness for regulatory inspections (FDA, FSSAI, NABL, etc.).

Stay up to date with advancements in microbiology and applicable regulations.
