A candidate must hold at least 2nd Class Degree in Mining Engineering from any recognized University in India or Diploma in Mining or in Applied Geology from Indian School of Mines and Applied Geology, Dhanbad or any other Institute where such diploma or certificate is considered equivalent to the degree of Mining Engineering.

Age Limit:

A candidate must have attained the age of 21 (twenty one) years and must not be above the age of 32 (thirty two) years on the 1st day of August 2019 i.e. he/she must have been born not earlier than 2nd August, 1987 and not later than ISt August, 1998. Provided that the upper age limit shall be relaxable by five (5) years for candidates belonging to the categories of Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Socially and Educationally Backward Classes and Women and by cumulative ten (10) years for Person
