Job Description
1. Name of the Post: Guest Faculty
2. No of Post: 35
3. Honorarium shall be at the rate of Rs 1,500/- per lecture subject to a maximum of Rs 50,000/- per month.
4. Minimum Qualification :
(I). For the Disciplines of Arts, Humanities, Languages, Social Sciences, Sciences, and for B.Tech Common Course viz. Mathematics, Physics, English Eligibility (A or B):
A. (i) A Ph.D. degree in the concerned subject. Note: In the event of unavailability of Ph.D candidate OR unavailability of suitable Ph.D candidate, the University reserved the right to consider those candidate without Ph.D degree who are otherwise fulfilling all the other eligibility conditions purely as a stop-gap arrangement under ‘MZU Guest Faculty norms’ @Rs 1,300/- per lecture subject to a maximum of Rs 36,000/- per month.
(ii) A Master’s degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) in the concerned subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
(iii) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR or a similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET or who are or have been awarded a Ph.D Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil/Ph.D Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 and their amendments from time to time as the case may be, shall be exempted from NET/SLET/SET:
