- Site Surveys and Installation:
- Conducting site surveys, installing fiber optic cables, and associated equipment.
- Troubleshooting and Maintenance:
- Identifying and resolving network issues, performing maintenance activities, and ensuring optimal network performance.
- Compliance:
- Ensuring adherence to industry standards (like OSP) and regulatory requirements.
- Collaboration:
- Working with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless network operations.
- Documentation:
- Updating network inventory in GIS systems and preparing BOM (Bill of Materials) and BOQ (Bill of Quantities).
- OSP Planning:
- May involve planning for new builds, IRU (Indefeasible Right of Use) routes, and 3rd party overhead fiber routes.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of GPON/FTTH technology, AutoCAD, MapInfo, Google Earth, and potentially QGIS or ArcGIS.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with teams and communicate with customers.
- Problem-solving: Ability to troubleshoot network issues and find effective solutions.
- OSP Knowledge: Understanding of Outside Plant (OSP) infrastructure and planning.
