Motor Assembly - NAPS
Job Description
• Follow detailed instructions to ensure accurate and high-quality assembly.
• Operate special-purpose machines and mechanical assembly tools as part of the production process.
• Maintain equipment in good working condition and report any malfunctions or issues promptly.
• Ensure that all assembly procedures are performed in adherence to quality standards and customer requirements.
• Conduct in-process inspections to identify and resolve any defects or non - conformities.
• Accurately update daily production reports, tracking progress and outputs against targets.
• Communicate effectively with the production team to highlight any challenges or areas for improvement
Key Responsibilities:
1. Motor Assembly
-
Assist in assembling motor components including stators, rotors, shafts, windings, and casings.

Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and engineering drawings during the assembly process.

Use hand tools, pneumatic tools, and power tools to fasten and align motor parts.
2. Quality Control and Inspection
-
Check for defects in components before and after assembly.

Measure critical dimensions using micrometers, calipers, or gauges.
-
Report any discrepancies or faults to the supervisor immediately.
3. Wiring and Electrical Connections
-
Learn basic electrical wiring techniques for connecting motor windings, terminals, and other parts.

Understand the color codes and safety norms associated with electrical connections.
4. Safety and Cleanliness
-
Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Maintain cleanliness and organization at the workstation.

Participate in safety training and hazard identification sessions.
5. Machine and Tool Maintenance
-
Assist in the basic maintenance of tools and assembly equipment.

Learn preventive maintenance techniques and support minor troubleshooting under guidance.
6. Documentation and Reporting
-
Fill out assembly checklists and production logs accurately.

Maintain training records as per the apprenticeship program.

Assist in inventory checks for motor components and consumables.
7. Learning and Development
-
Attend classroom and practical training sessions provided as part of the NAPS curriculum.

Demonstrate willingness to learn and apply technical knowledge on the shop floor.

Participate in assessments, reviews, and feedback sessions.
