Job Description

MTS (Driver) recruitment in the Indian Statistical Institute, North-East Centre, Tezpur.

Minimum Qualification: School Final or equivalent with knowledge and experience of driving of all types of vehicles. Must possess valid driving license for both light & heavy vehicles.

Experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience in the relevant field. Preference will be given to the candidates working in a reputed organization.

Function: Driving and up keeping including dusting of vehicles of the Institute. The selected candidate shall do all minor repairing works, also work as an Office Peon doing outdoor duties, and perform any other work as may be assigned by the superior from time to time.

Pay Scale : Rs.14000

Age: Below 40 years as on 1 st December 2017

The Indian Statistical Institute was founded by Professor P.C. Mahalanobis in Kolkata on December17th , 1931. The institute gained the status of an Institution of National Importance by an act of the Indian Parliament in 1959. The North-East centre of the Institute at Tezpur was inaugurated on July 23rd, 2011 by Shri Pranab Mukherjee, Hon'ble Union Finance Minister and Chairman of the ISI council. This is the fourth centre of ISI, joining the existing centres at Delhi, Bangalore and Chennai.
