Essential: 10+2 from a recognized Board/University.

Desirable: English typing speed 30 words per minute

The gamut of operations required in purification process includes hydrometallurgy, pyrometallurgy, vacuum metallurgy, Electro-metallurgy, zone refining, electron beam melting etc.
