Qualifications:
1. A Graduation in Music conferred or recognized by the Universities in Kerala. OR
 a) A Pass in SSLC Examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala or its equivalent. AND
 b) A Pass in Ganapraveena or Ganabhooshana Examination in Vocal Music or Gana bhooshana Diploma in Violin, Veena conducted by the Commissioner for Government 

Examinations, Kerala. OR
Music Senior Certificate issued by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala OR
Sangeetha Vidwan title of the Central College of Karnatic Music, Madras. OR
Ganapraveena/Ganabhooshanam (Mridangam) issued by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala
2. Must have passed the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (K-TET) for this post conducted by the Government of Kerala .

Exemption: Candidates who have qualified CTET/NET/SET/M.Phil/Ph.D/M.Ed. in the respective subjects are exempted from acquiring TET (G.O. (P) No. 145/16/G.Edn. Dated 

30.08.2016 and G.O.(P)No.206/16/ G.Edn. Dated 08.12.2016).
