Tuberculosis Prevalence Survey is a time bound activity and is crucial for Ending TB in India and is planned to be undertaken on mission mode. High level of commitment is required with a will to work on Sundays & holidays (except, important local holidays).
1. Project: “District wise prevalence of microbiologically confirmed pulmonary tuberculosis in Tamil Nadu”
2. Contractual Post: Project Technician III (X-Ray Technician) [Field Post]
3. Consolidated Monthly Salary: Rs.18,000/-p.m.
4. Duration of Project: Six Months
5. No. of Posts: 3 [UR-1, OBC-2]
6. Place of post: Anywhere in Tamil Nadu
7. Essential Qualification: 12th pass in science subjects and two years diploma in radiology/radiography or one year diploma plus one year required experience in a recognized organization or two years relevant experience* in Government recognized organization.
*B.Sc. degree shall be treated as 3 years experience.
8. Job specifications / responsibilities
a. Get trained in Protocol of State TB Prevalence Survey, Tamil Nadu as well as SOPs and training manuals.
b. To organize radiology (Chest X-Ray) at the survey site (village / ward) in the mobile X-Ray van.
c. Explain each participant the procedure in local language before taking chest X-Ray.
d. Prepare cassettes by filling blank X-Ray films ready for shoot and undertake Chest X-Rays (~150-200 per day) during survey cluster activities.
e. Ensure scanning of each cassette and use CR reader, PACS system and IT application for maintaining all information, X-Ray images and results from MO and tele-radiologist.
f. Monitor the X-Ray shoot after calibration using the displays and digital monitors of output
