Name of the post: Project Scientist – C (Medical)

1. Name of the project: India Hypertension Control Initiative – MRHRU

2. Number of vacancies: 02 (UR)

3. Essential Qualification:

(i) Post Graduate Degree (MD/MS/DNB) after MBBS with one year experience OR Postgraduate diploma in medical subjects after MBBS with two year’s experience OR

(ii) M.B.B.S degree with 4 year’s experience in Public health/Community Medicine/ Preventive and Social medicine/ Epidemiology after obtaining MBBS Degree

4. Desirable Qualification and Experience:

(i) A Doctorate or a Post Graduate Degree MD/MPH/MAE in Public health/Community Medicine/ Preventive and Social medicine/ Epidemiology / Public Health from a recognized University/ Institute

(ii) Additional Post doctoral research/ teaching experience in above subjects in recognized institute(s)

(iii) Experience of surveillance activity research, including monitoring and supervision

(iv) Knowledge of Computer applications and statistical Packages.

5. Remuneration:

(i) Medical: Rs.72,325/- (Chennai)

(ii) Medical: Rs. 66,775/- (Himachal Pradesh)

6. Duration: Up to 31.07.2022 (May be extended on satisfactory performance and continuation of the project)

3. Essential Qualification:

(i) First class Masters degree in Public Health/Epidemiology in recognized university with four years’ experience in relevant field. OR

(ii) Second class Masters degree in Public Health/Epidemiology with PhD with four years experience in relevant field.

4. Desirable Qualification and Experience:

(i) Working knowledge in the area of disease surveillance and project management.

(ii) Good communication skills: scientific writing as evidenced by publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals and official communications.

(iii) Knowledge of literature review using reference managers, data handling, analysis, interpretation and report writing.

(iv) Working knowledge of statistical software including SPSS/Stata/R.

(v) Working knowledge of MS Office.

(vi) Knowledge of Kannada, Telugu and Hindi.

5. Remuneration:

(i) Non-Medical: Rs. 57,660/- (Chennai)

(ii) Non-Medical: Rs. 53,220/- (Himachal Pradesh)

6. Duration: Up to 31.07.2022 (May be extended on satisfactory performance and continuation of the project)
