Job Description
Navigational Assistant Grade III, Technician (Diesel) and Technician (Electronics) recruitment in the Directorate
of Lighthouses and Lightships (DLL), Port Blair.
Age (as on 30.09.2019): 18 – 27 Years
Technician (Diesel) /1 Post
Essential: Passed matriculation or its equivalent. Should have served as an apprentice for at least four years in a reputable firm or in a Central or State Government establishment. Should have in addition two year practical experience in the installation, maintenance and overhauling of Diesel generator sets, Air Compressors, Battery chargers etc. (OR)
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognised Institution with two years’ experience in the Installation, maintenance and overhauling of Diesel Generator Sets, Air compressors, Battery Charges,etc.
Age (as on 30.09.2019): 21 – 30 Years
Essential: (i) Diploma in Electronics Engineering or Electronics and Communication Engineering or Electrical and Electronics Engineering or a combination of above from a recognized institution or equivalent qualification.
(ii) One year experience in the installation and maintenance of wireless transmitters, receivers, aerial systems and associated power plant.
Desirable: Experience in the handling of microwave equipment is desirable
