Job Description
Applications are invited to attend Interview (online through video conferencing) for the JRF- (Two posts) under DBT funded network project "Exploitation of genomic resources for improvement of niger (Guizotia abyssinica L.F. Cass) through breeding and biotechnological tools" for a period of four years at ICAR-National Bureau of Plant Genetic Resources (NBPGR), New Delhi. The positions are of temporary nature and co-terminus with the project.

3. No of Post: 02
4. Emoluments per month: Rs. 31000/- + 24% HRA for 1st and 2nd year and Rs. 35000/- +24% HRA 3rd year onward
5. Essential qualification: Master's degree in Bioinformatics /Biotechnology/ Agriculture/ Botany/ Life sciences/ with NET/GATE qualifications.
6. Desirable Qualification: Experience in handling Bioinformatics analysis/ Statistical software/database development and management

In an unprecedented initiative, NBPGR, for the first time, has characterized and evaluated (preliminary) entire germplasm of wheat (22000 accessions comprising T. aestivum, T. durum and T. dicoccum) conserved in the National Genebank, at three locations in during Rabi 2011-12. At CCS HAU, Hisar, the wheat accessions have been characterized under optimum conditions. Data on 32 agro-morphological characters are used to develop a core-set.
