Applications are invited to attend "Interview (in-person/ online through video conferencing) " for the post mentioned in the advertisement to work in the DBT funded network project "Mainstreaming of Sesame germplasm for productivity enhancement through genomics assisted core development and trait discovery" at ICAR- NBPGR, New Delhi as mentioned below.

1. Name of the Post and Number: Research Associate-III (01)

2. Emoluments/month: Rs. 54,000 +24% HRA for PhD; or Rs. 49,000 24%HRA for MSc / M. Tech;

3. Essential qualification:  Doctoral Degree in Biotechnology/ Plant breeding/ Molecular Biology/ Life Sciences / Bioinformatics or related subjects or Master's Degree (including M. Tech) in Plant breeding/l,ife Sciences or related subjects with specialization in Bio-informatics/Biotechnology from a recognized tJniversity or equivalent with three years' research experience

4. Desirable Qualification: I. NET / qualified and experience in working with various bioinformatic pipelines in Linux environment, statistical analysis and analysis of high throughput SNP genotyping data, re-sequencing and transcriptomics data. II. Publications in peer-reviewed high impact journals

5. Sub Project 2 Component-I: Genotyping of Sesame Germplasm Following High Throughput Genomics

In an unprecedented initiative, NBPGR, for the first time, has characterized and evaluated (preliminary) entire germplasm of wheat (22000 accessions comprising T. aestivum, T. durum and T. dicoccum) conserved in the National Genebank, at three locations in during Rabi 2011-12. At CCS HAU, Hisar, the wheat accessions have been characterized under optimum conditions. Data on 32 agro-morphological characters are used to develop a core-set.
