Job Description
Applications are invited from eligible and interested candidates, in prescribed form available online at www.neeri.res.in, for engagement of the following Project StaIf under the project entitled "Development and promotion of non-POPs alternatives to DDT" sponsored by GEF-UNEP through Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) as Executing Agency..
1. Post Details/ Subject Area: Project Associate -I (Entomology) (1 No.)
2. Place of posting: CSIR-NEERI, Nagpur
3. Prescribed Edu. Qualification Experience: M.Sc in (Zoology with specialization in Entomology/ Public Health Entomology) with minimum 55% marks
4. Desirable: Experience in malarial kalaazarl vector borne ciiseases/ public health programs
5. Job Requirement: To assist Consultants/Project Leaders in developing training modules on Integrated Vector Pest Management (IVPM), conducting training and pilot testing of training modules.
6. Remuneration
i) Rs. 31,000/- per month plus HRA (as applicable) to scholars who are selected through
(a) National Eligibility Tests - CSIR-UGC NET including lecturership or GATE or
(b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions or ii) Rs. 25000/- per month plus HRA (as applicable) for others who do not fall under (i) above
7. Job Responsibilities The position require working in close coordination/liaison/collaboration with UNEP/CPCBA{VBDCP/ICMR-NIMPJ MoH&FWOther Central/State Ministries/Depts. and other Project Partner organizations/Consultants.
8. The project requires extensive travel towards the conduct of trainings, piolet testing of modules, liaisory'co-ordination with other CentraVState/Ministries/Depts./Agencies. Specific job responsibilities ofthe posts are as under. To assist in all technical components of the project imp{ementation.
9. To develop and test modules/ tools for promotion ofDDT alternatives for vector control.
