Job Description
6-8+ years of experience in NetBackup server builds, upgrades, decommissions, and configurations
Hands-on experience installing and configuring Veritas devices with multiple network interfaces and AWS S3 storage
Advanced knowledge of managing MSDP, NetBackup Appliances, and Flex Appliances
Expertise in backup and recovery administration for file systems, virtual machines, MS-SQL, and Oracle databases
Demonstrated ability to develop lifecycle policies, including replication and duplication to both on-premises and cloud environments
Experience conducting periodic backup and disaster recovery simulations
Familiarity with Veritas OpsCenter and NetBackup Web UI for monitoring and reporting
Working knowledge of cybersecurity and encryption in backup processes, adhering to ITIL practices and GMP/GXP standards
Key Skills
Proficiency in Veritas NetBackup and associated appliances (MSDP, Flex Appliances)
Expertise in configuring AWS S3 storage for backup purposes
Strong understanding of lifecycle policies, replication, and disaster recovery planning
Proficient in Veritas OpsCenter and Web UI for system monitoring and report generation
Familiarity with ITIL practices, including incident, change, and problem management
Skilled in implementing cybersecurity requirements and encryption for secure backup processes
Excellent troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and performance optimization skills
