Network Administrator Job Purpose:

Responsible for designing, Organizing, modifying, installing, and supporting a company's computer system. Designs and installs LANs, WANs, Internet and intranet systems, and network segments.

Network Administrator Job Responsibilities:

• Establishes network specifications by conferring with users; analyzing workflow, access, information, and security requirements; designing router administration, including interface configuration and routing protocols.
  
• Establishes a network by evaluating network performance issues, including availability, utilization, throughput, well put, and latency; planning and executing the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of equipment; defining network policies and procedures; establishing connections and firewalls.
  
• Maintains network performance by performing network monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting network problems
  
• Secures network by developing network access, monitoring, control, and evaluation; maintaining documentation.
  
• Install and support LANs, WANs, network segments, the Internet, and intranet systems.
  
• Install and maintain network hardware and software.  Analyze and isolate issues.
  
• Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
