Job Description

  • Day to Day Hardware maintenance & support, Monitoring and guiding the hardware team members.
  • Hardening Information security and coordinating with third party ISMS providers.
  • Servers and Network Security Management for KP branch using Firewalls, Cyberoam and other administrative Controls.
  • End users System and Internet activity Monitoring,Monitoring all the privileged users activities once in a fortnight.
  • To monitor Servers Capacity and Performance to take necessary steps to improve the performance and the life of the servers.
  • To keep the hard-soft copies of undertaking documents, In and Outside repairs, Hardware Inventory, material Issues, returnable and non returnable Gate passes.
  • To check status of all peripherals condition, location and usage and take necessary corrective action for preventing damages.
  • Mail Server and black lists, Various logs andarchives CCTV (security), SMDR (Phone system logs), etcCheck to ensure that my AV server and clients are up to date. 
  • Package deployments and support thereof Patching the OS and Application Software Break/Fix issues.
  • Coordination with the Server Vendors and Cyberoam vendor for technical Issues.
  • Looking into disk and storage issues, memory and performance issues and to give timely alerts or recommendations. 
  • Servers and storage Capacity Planning.
  • To keep data, Application, Content, DHCP, servers alive for the access of end users.
  • Tuning the systems speed, performance and antimalwareCheck tickets. 
  • Backup failures, disk thresholds exceeding limit, printing supplies getting low etc. send an e-mail that creates ticket in helpdesk. 
  • So, deal with those first if there are not any user problems that need to be solved asap.Check logs (as most important things create alerts and tickets I often do not check logs every day).
  • Preventive maintenance of all the systems and peripherals.Procurement of Cartridges, Computers, Printers stationery and other Compute accessories for smooth functioning of school.
  • Upgrading the servers with latest software and OS.
  • To maintain registers for Inward and Outward of IT EquipmentTo monitor the implementation of breaches of ICT security policies.
  • Coordinating with ISP (Internet Service Provider) to monitor the connectivity and any security breaches.
  • To coordinate with CCTV technician and to address the CCTV issues of KP, GB and JH branches.
  • To allocate active directory users, portals, Internet access to guests.
  • Overall maintenance and support in digital content, ERP network, CCTV servers to run school smoothly Periodical checking of server rooms Systems Health condition.To down the Servers for maintenance, once in a month for Half an hour, with prior notification
