Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain IP/MPLS transmission networks, including routers, switches, and optical transport equipment.
Will Work in a 24 X 7 Environment.
Manage and optimize the performance of Layer 2/3 IP transmission systems for core, metro, and access networks.
Handle configuration and maintenance of core, distribution, and access network devices.
Monitor and troubleshoot network performance issues related to IP transmission.
Ethernet alarms and parameters with their troubleshooting process.
Raise and update the tickets in in tool for all the issues handled / worked upon.
Collaborate with NOC, planning, and field teams to troubleshoot and resolve network faults.
Execute network upgrades, software patches, and configuration changes following change management procedures.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and internal policies for security, redundancy, and fault tolerance.
Maintain accurate documentation of network infrastructure, topologies, and configurations.
Support new service rollouts by ensuring transmission readiness and integration.
Participate in on-call rotations for network support and critical incident handling.
Sound knowledge of Microwave Technology, Will be responsible for 2nd Line troubleshooting of Microwave system over Ericsson 6xxx Series
