The Network Engineer will work with a global team and and will be responsible for maintaining the design, integrity, and operation of LogMeIn internal network, including cloud environments as well as internal corporate environments. They will provide expert technical assistance for high-level and detailed networking requests while supporting day-to-day operations of the LogMeIn corporate network environment consisting of 700+ devices across 25+ locations. This role will be responsible for designing, implementing and supporting complex network infrastructure to support of our customer needs, and ensure a network service uptime of 99.99+%.

The Network Engineer will work with a global team and and will be responsible for maintaining the design, integrity, and operation of LogMeIn internal network, including cloud environments as well as internal corporate environments. They will provide expert technical assistance for high-level and detailed networking requests while supporting day-to-day operations of the LogMeIn corporate network environment consisting of 700+ devices across 25+ locations. This role will be responsible for designing, implementing and supporting complex network infrastructure to support of our customer needs, and ensure a network service uptime of 99.99+%.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the implementations, and sustainment of the IT internal corporate environment for LogMeIn
- Identifies, diagnoses and resolves network problems as they arise
- Facilitates major network projects to support capacity growth, upgrades and new products/features, and integration
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of standards, guidelines, industry trends, and best practices, for the networking discipline, including LAN, WAN, Wireless, Security, Data Center networking and interconnection
- Network escalation support for level1 helpdesk
- Monitor network performance and resource utilization and insure system availability and reliability
- Ensures compliance with change control processes and adherence to standards
- Produce work breakdown structures that demonstrate understanding of proposed changes and how the change will be executed with minimal service impact
- Create and maintain network documentation, ensuring they are up to date
- Provide concise weekly updates to management and effectively present project status to leadership
- Maintains business relationships with service providers and equipment vendors
- Participate in 24x7 On-Call rotation for alerts and network emergencies
- BachelorâÂÂs degree in CS or ECE or equivalent experience
- CCNA certification or equivalent industry experience required
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with firewall, routing, switching and enterprise wireless technologies.
- Working knowledge of Dynamic IP Routing protocols (OSPF, BGP)
- Working knowledge of network layer security including Firewalls, 802.1.x, Network Authentication Systems, and VPN technologies
- Excellent communication & documentation skills
- Scripting experience with languages like Python is a plus
- Experience juggling multiple responsibilities and prioritization of conflicting requirements with business goals in mind
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently, without direct supervision
