Job Description

NOC Engineer

• NOC Engineer: This team deals with more networking issues. 
  
• They are responsible for Voice (VoIP) services that deal with multiple carriers. 
  
• Good networking skills (e.g. CCNA) with less work experience will also be considered. 
  
• The Momentum NOC is a 24/7 operation and may include varied start times and days off.
  

Network Technician

• You will be monitoring systems for outages, try and solve the problems with SOPs, and then if you can’t do that, ticket it and then escalate it. 
  
• We are looking for someone who is proactive with monitoring, diagnosing and documenting issues/problem alerts. 
  
• The position requires a multi-tasker who has some technical and strong communication skills. You would be responsible for monitoring their alarm system and communicating with clients and team members regarding network troubles.
  

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Investigate, document and diagnose trouble calls to resolve service affecting issues across multiple service platforms including but not limited to POTS lines, VoIP & SIP traffic related issues.
• Work with vendors & underlying carriers to resolve service affecting issues that cannot be resolved internally.
• Analyse trouble descriptions and perform detailed trouble diagnosis.
• Track and update troubles in ticketing system.
• Create preventative reports identifying trends, repeat and chronic issues.
• Maintain awareness of network activities affecting elements.
• Recommend solutions to correct network trouble issues and faults.
• Provide status updates on trouble tickets directly to clients and internally to other staff and management.
• Team players with willingness to learn and work in team environment, and provide the highest level of customer service possible always, will achieve success in this position.
• Working knowledge of VoIP protocols (SIP, RTP, MGCP).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic understanding of CODEC technology (e.g., G711, G729, etc.)
• Ability to troubleshoot Layer 1-3 faults in platforms listed.
• Demonstrable knowledge of various network troubleshooting tools such as, but not limited to: ping, trace route, telnet, SSH, dig, SNMP get.
• Need female candidates with good interpersonal and good communication skills
