Job Description
Network Operations Engineer
Location: Gurgaon, India
Here's what you'll do day-to-day:
- Ensure Network stability and reliable ISP network services (e.g. access products, service networks and core network)
- Capable of working/using own initiative with minimal supervision
- Capable of prioritising and managing own workload
- Troubleshooting network related issues and coordinate with service providers for Incident resolution
- Keen to contribute ideas, share knowledge and help others develop
- Coordinate with ISPs for trouble ticket generation and response; carrier interface and escalations
Requirements:
- At least 3-4 years prior work experience working in Network Operations(NOC)
- Hands-On knowledge of Firewall UTM like Fortigate, Cyberoam, Sonicwall Devices etc.
- Knowledge of troubleshooting wireless networks, VLANs, network switches etc.
- Worked on Cisco/Juniper Switches E.g. 3300, 2960 and Ex-2300 series
- Basic understanding of AAA platforms such as Radius and/or TACACS
- Fully versed in Office Infrastructure and Networking Protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, IPsec VPN)
- Should be comfortable with ambiguity, unpredictable work hours and should be able to function independently
- Should be able to troubleshoot network issues at remote locations
- Basic understanding of the following technologies: IP Protocols (ICMP, UDP, TCP); IP filtering, IPSec/VPN Tunnels, Routing Protocols (BGP, OSPF, ISIS), Quality of Service, MPLS, Ethernet (STP, RSTP) etc.
- Experience in network infrastructure deployment is ideal
