Responsibilities
- You will work with product management and other multi-functional teams to develop detailed software functional specification. Eloquent system software architecture specifications that meet product requirements.
- Software development in the areas of platform infrastructure, device drivers, kernel, chassis control, device management.
- Opportunity to work on next generation line cards, Ethernet, OTN and Optical technologies.
- You will carry out detailed design, implementation, unit and integration testing of device/kernel drivers and other related software components for products and features.
- Work closely with system and solution test teams to ensure accurate and complete verification of software and components that meet real-life network deployments.
- BTech / MTech in CS/CE or related field with 4 - 8 years proven experience.
- In-depth knowledge of data networking, e.g., TCP/IP, Ethernet and Routing etc.
- Proficiency with device drivers, system bring-up, FreeBSD/Linux internals.
- Understanding of Ethernet, VLAN, OTN, SONET etc. technologies desired
- Strong technical, analytical and problem solving skills.
- Strong in C, C++ programming, OO analysis & design, data structures and system debugging skills.
- Good understanding of firmware, hardware level details for Optics, PCIe, SPI, I2C, Retimers, FPGA, CPLD, MDIO , Flash Driver
- Prior software development experience on networking products would be a plus.
