Buying and Merchandising Team - Sourcing and Research Intern
Good product-market fit is key, merchandise buyers perform research and analysis to decide on product mixes and suppliers and create sales strategies. They source the products and ensure product availability in the market. They regularly keep a tab on the new trends in the market with respect to homeware and kitchenware range.

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Perform continuous research on the homeware and kitchenware domain for new product categories and current trends
2. Submit a research report on the analysis of the various products mix available in the offline market (involves market visits)
3. Conduct in-depth research on various B2B and B2C online portals and gather information on the new product categories by visiting various websites
4. Coordinate activities engaged in buying, and receiving delivery of products/materials, equipment, machinery, and supplies with vendors/suppliers
5. Conduct a thorough analysis of customer needs. Conduct market research, staying up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activity, and actively monitoring sales to determine which products sell the most
6. Send inquiry to vendors and resolve vendor queries within specified timeframes along with vendor reminders to respond to the enquiry
7. Liaison with other departments, particularly the accounting, manufacturing, and stock departments
