We are seeking a confident, articulate, and experienced News Anchor to be the face and voice of our news broadcast. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering news stories live on air, moderating debates, conducting interviews, and presenting current affairs in a compelling and balanced manner. The anchor must have a strong command of language, sharp editorial instincts, and the ability to remain calm under pressure in a live environment.

Key Responsibilities:
1. News Presentation:

Present live or pre-recorded news bulletins, special reports, or current affairs programs with clarity, confidence, and neutrality.

Read scripts on teleprompters with appropriate tone, speed, and expression.

Conduct live broadcasts including interviews, debates, and breaking news coverage.
2. News Research & Preparation:

Coordinate with editorial teams to gather information and understand context before presenting stories.

Research background material on major topics, guest profiles, or emerging trends to support intelligent commentary.

Ensure accuracy and consistency of facts before presenting news on air.
3. Interviewing & Field Reporting:

Conduct interviews with politicians, subject matter experts, eyewitnesses, and the public in studio or field settings.

Collaborate with reporters and correspondents on special segments or field coverage.

Participate in special features, election coverage, crisis updates, or live event anchoring.
4. Editorial Coordination:

Work closely with producers, editors, and news writers to finalize scripts and rundown orders.

Attend daily editorial meetings to understand the news agenda and upcoming coverage.

Suggest story angles, exclusive content, or guest ideas to improve the quality of broadcasts.
5. Crisis Handling & Breaking News:

Stay calm and professional during unexpected news developments or technical issues.

Deliver live updates, verify breaking information, and ask intelligent follow-up questions.

React swiftly and responsibly during emergencies such as political events, natural disasters, or accidents.
6. Social Media & Digital Engagement:

Promote news shows, special reports, or upcoming bulletins through social media platforms.

Engage with viewers via comments, polls, or Q&A sessions when relevant.

Occasionally host digital-only segments or go live on social media platforms for engagement.
Key Skills Required:
