National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (NIMHANS) invites application for the position Junior Research Fellow

Name of the post: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

No. of post: 1 (One)

Essential Qualification:

a. M.Sc. in Life Sciences (Genetics/Biochemistry/Zoology/Biotechnology/Molecular Biology/ Neurosciences or related subjects)/ M.Tech in Biotechnology/ Genetic Engineering with experience in methods/tools/techniques used in genetics research.

b. Qualified national level exam conducted by CSIR/ UGC or equivalent.

Desired Qualification: Candidates with prior experience in processing of blood samples, nucleic acid extraction, DNA sequencing, Gene Expression, ELISA, Multiplex Suspension Assay, and recording as well as analysis of clinical data will be preferred.

Emoluments: Rs.31,000/-+ 24% HRA p.m

Duration of the post: 2 years Initial appointment will be made for a period of one year, which will be extendable every 12 months or till the end of the project depending upon the performance of the candidate

Age Limit: 28 Years (Age relaxation will be given for exceptionally meritorious candidates).
