Job Description
The NPO Engineer is responsible for network performance optimization, network audits,
New/Upgraded sites visit in field and analysis for improvement. The engineer should be
able to optimize the network with all components based on traffic / KPI trends and
customer complaints.
The engineer should also be able to identify, prioritize, and coordinate for solving
business critical problems and communicate them to key stakeholders.
Competencies of NPO engineer
• Should Understand 2G, 4G & 5G network architecture/call flow and Radio interface
Protocols.
• Field visit for new role out, Swap sites & upgraded sites in the Network.
• Hand on experience on field tool like TEMS, AZQ, QGIS.
• Network optimization with the help of parameters and counters.
• Knowledge and practice of 2G/4G/5G optimization processes of different OEMs like
Ericsson, Nokia, Huawei, Samsung.
• Knowledge on 2G/4G/5G Drive test, test cases, call sequence, radio parameters
checked during Drive test
• Applies knowledge and skills to analyze and resolve complex network problems.
• Knowledge on using post processing and analysis tool (TEMS, NEMO, or
equivalent)
• Knowledge of MAPINFO, QGIS
• Should possess good communication & presentation skills.

Qualifications
• Candidate should hold bachelor’s degree in Electronics & telecommunication
Engineering with 3 to 5 years of experience.
