Job Description

Nursing Supervisor

To coordinate with nursing colleges for nursing student training
To conduct training classes of nursing students and document the same
To allocate students in all departments and also assign patients only after discussion with consultant psychiatrist
To prepare and provide training approval letter and training certificate
To maintain the record of each nursing college’s training program
To ensure induction and training of new ward staff
To identify the training needs for ward staff and arrange training classes as required
To investigate incidents, accidents, concerns, near-misses, non-conformities and complaints pertaining to the wards and team, ensuring that statements are collected within agreed deadlines
To conduct interview with HR when requisition of nursing Staff.
To maintain registers & audit the same on daily basis
To ensure that all provisions of nursing care is documented on a timely basis and accurately reflect the patient experience
To work closely with the consultants for the achievement of effective patient management ensuring that individual consultant care protocols are follow
To ensure a high standard of infection control and prevention of all avoidable healthcare associated infection in the ward
To ensure that all policies, procedures, guidelines and work instructions that relate to the wards are regularly reviewed and updated, as required
To participate in the setting of standards and agree clinical, audit topics with the hospital manager, ensuring that the identified audits take place with action implemented
To discuss and promote innovations that will improve a patient care to maintain an appropriate standard of confidentiality
