Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Office Accountant to manage daily accounting tasks and maintain financial records. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working independently for a few hours a day either in-office (for 3 hours) or remotely (Work From Home) depending on preference and business requirements.
The role includes handling bookkeeping, maintaining ledgers, managing invoices, tracking expenses, and preparing basic financial reports. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates seeking flexible working hours, including homemakers, semi-retired professionals, or students with an accounting background.
Key Responsibilities
1. Day-to-Day Accounting

Record daily income, expenses, and financial transactions in accounting software or Excel.

Maintain up-to-date ledgers and reconcile accounts as needed.

Prepare and issue invoices to clients and track payments.

Handle petty cash records and employee reimbursements.
2. Documentation and Record Keeping

Maintain organized records of bills, receipts, and payments.

Ensure accurate and timely data entry of financial documents.

Maintain records for tax and audit purposes.
3. Banking and Payments

Monitor bank transactions and update records accordingly.

Coordinate with the management for vendor payments and salary processing.

Prepare basic financial summaries for weekly or monthly review.
4. Reporting and Compliance

Prepare simple profit & loss statements, balance sheets, or cash flow reports as needed.

Assist with GST data preparation (if applicable).

Support annual audit processes and coordinate with external accountants if required.
Technical Skills:

Proficiency in MS Excel and basic financial formulas.

Knowledge of Tally ERP / Zoho / QuickBooks (any one is preferred).

Understanding of basic accounting principles and ledgers.
Soft Skills:

Good communication skills (English or regional language).

High attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Good time management and organizational skills.
