Office Assistant cum Accountant
Job Description
We are seeking a versatile and organized Office Assistant cum Accountant to manage both administrative and financial tasks. This role requires a proactive individual with strong organizational skills, accounting knowledge, and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently. The ideal candidate will support daily office operations, maintain accurate financial records, and ensure smooth workflow within the organization.
Responsibilities:
Accounting Duties:
Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and receivable.
Process invoices, payments, and other financial transactions.
Prepare and reconcile bank statements.
Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements.
Manage payroll processing and related documentation.
Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.
Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
Handle tax-related documentation and filings.
Manage petty cash.
Assist with audits.
Office Administration Duties:
Provide general office support, including answering phones, greeting visitors, and handling correspondence.
Manage and maintain office supplies and equipment.
Organize and schedule meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements.
Maintain filing systems, both physical and electronic.
Assist with data entry and record keeping.
Prepare and edit documents, such as letters, memos, and reports.
Assist in organizing company events and meetings.
Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.
Coordinate with vendors and suppliers.
Perform other administrative tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
Proven experience in accounting and office administration roles.
Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Tally) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Excellent organizational, time-management, and multitasking skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
