Job Description
Position Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated, honest, and hardworking Office Assistant to join our DTDC Courier Branch. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing daily branch operations, including booking courier shipments, handling documents, assisting customers, and supporting promotional and marketing efforts. Basic computer knowledge and strong customer service skills are essential for this role.
This position is ideal for someone who is punctual, responsible, and willing to learn while handling multiple office tasks efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Booking and Documentation:

Handle daily courier booking and shipment entry in the DTDC software

Print and attach shipment labels, invoices, and consignment notes

Maintain physical and digital records of all outgoing and incoming parcels

Assist in manifest preparation and timely dispatch of courier shipments
Customer Service:
-
Attend walk-in customers, understand their courier needs, and guide them through the process
-
Provide rate information, estimated delivery time, and documentation guidance
-
Resolve basic customer complaints or escalate to the branch manager if needed
-
Update customers about parcel status, delays, or issues with delivery
Branch Operations Support:
-
Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of the office area

Handle incoming calls and inquiries

Assist with cash handling and daily reconciliation of bookings (if applicable)

Track and record consignments using DTDC tracking systems
Computer Work:
-
Use DTDC software, Excel, or other internal tools for booking, invoicing, and tracking

Enter and update customer or parcel data in systems accurately

Prepare basic daily reports for branch management (sales, bookings, issues)
Promotion & Marketing Support:

Distribute flyers or promotional material in nearby areas, shops, or housing societies

Talk to potential customers and explain DTDC services to promote business

Support in digital marketing activities if required (WhatsApp messages, SMS)
Required Skills & Qualities:
Technical / Computer Skills:

Basic knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, and typing

Ability to learn and operate DTDC booking software

Internet usage and online tracking skills
