Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Machine Operation and Setup:
-
Set up injection moulding machines based on production schedules and moulding specifications.

Install moulds (dies) into machines and adjust parameters such as temperature, pressure, and cycle time.

Start up machines, conduct trial runs, and make adjustments as necessary to ensure proper function.

Monitor machine operation during production and report any malfunctions to the supervisor.
2. Production Monitoring and Control:
-
Operate machines to produce plastic components as per defined standards and blueprints.
-
Monitor output and make sure that production targets and cycle times are consistently achieved.

Ensure raw materials are loaded and replenished in the hopper as required.

Maintain continuous machine operation during the shift and handover at shift change.
3. Quality Assurance:

Perform regular quality checks on finished products, inspecting for defects such as burrs, shrinkage, warping, or color variation.

Measure and inspect parts using tools like vernier calipers, micrometers, or gauges.

Segregate defective parts and inform the quality team or shift in-charge.

Record production and quality control data for internal reporting and traceability.
4. Maintenance and Troubleshooting:

Conduct basic maintenance tasks such as cleaning moulds, checking oil levels, and ensuring machine cleanliness.

Identify and resolve minor machine faults and inform the maintenance team for major breakdowns.

Assist in routine preventive maintenance checks and support the maintenance team when needed.

Ensure proper shutdown of machines after production or at the end of shift.
5. Safety and Housekeeping:
-
Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) at all times.

Maintain a clean and organized work area to avoid accidents or material wastage.

Report unsafe conditions, potential hazards, or incidents to supervisors promptly.

Adhere to environmental and safety standards as per factory guidelines.
