Job Description

Managing a team of optical staff including opticians, technicians and administrative support staff

Meeting with clients to discuss their vision care needs, recommending corrective lenses or other solutions if needed, and taking measurements for glasses or contacts

Training staff in new equipment or techniques and conducting performance evaluations to ensure that all employees are performing their jobs effectively

Overseeing the daily operations of the store including hiring, training, and scheduling staff members

Maintaining inventory of frames and lenses, ensuring that supplies are ordered as needed

Analyzing data to identify trends in customer behavior, preferences, and spending patterns to help improve store performance

Ensuring that all products and services offered by the store comply with applicable laws and regulations

Monitoring inventory levels and ordering new products as needed

Maintaining relationships with vendors to ensure that the store has access to the latest products and services available in the industry
