Job Description
Responsibilities and Duties
- Theater nurse is needed to support and assist the patient, surgeons, surgical technicians, anesthetists and other practitioners.
- During pre-operative stage, the nurse must help to prepare the patient and operating room for the surgery.
- Nurse would check the basic health condition of the patient.
- Maintain patient medical records and treatment plan and procedures prescribed by the doctor.
- Make sure the necessary equipment are kept sterile and immaculate.
- Make sure the operating room is clean and sterile.
- Provide the necessary equipment immediately as per surgeon’s request during the procedure.
- Responsible to account for all pieces of equipment during pre and post surgery and enter in physical record.
- Maintain inventory of all material and consumable required for the treatment.
