Job Description
Prepare the operating room before surgery, ensuring sterilization and availability of instruments.
Assist in transporting patients to and from the operation theatre.
Support the surgical team by handling instruments and supplies during operations.
Sterilize surgical tools and maintain aseptic conditions in the OT.
Set up and test surgical equipment and machines before procedures.
Dispose of waste and used materials according to hospital infection control policies.
Maintain inventory and request supplies as needed.
Follow pre-operative and post-operative protocols diligently.
Record surgical data and ensure proper documentation.
Coordinate with surgeons, anesthetists, and nursing staff as required.
Required Skills:

Thorough understanding of OT protocols, sterilization methods, and surgical instruments

Ability to work under pressure, especially during emergency procedures

Good communication and coordination skills with surgical and nursing teams

Knowledge of infection control, patient handling, and bio-medical waste disposal

Basic computer and record-keeping skills (optional)
