Job Summary:
As a Packaging Designer (Trainee), you will be introduced to the end-to-end process of rigid box designing—from conceptual design to computer software operation, template preparation, machine file conversion, and final product development.

Key Responsibilities (Post Training):
Computer-Aided Design Work:

Learn how to use design and box-making software like CorelDRAW, AutoCAD, Adobe Illustrator, or other proprietary tools (we will train you).

Create dielines, templates, and mockups for rigid boxes based on client specifications.

Work with pre-defined box styles or develop new custom box designs as per project needs.
Packaging Development:
-
Understand the structural design of rigid boxes: dimensions, folding, cutting, and scoring.

Convert client design briefs into production-ready formats.
-
Create prototypes and samples for testing and client approval.
Technical Support & Machine Files:
-
Assist in creating digital files required for cutting, creasing, and forming rigid boxes.

Coordinate with production and machine operators to ensure file accuracy and quality standards.

Maintain accuracy in measurements and ensure designs are technically feasible.
Creative Input & Art Craft:
-
Help in design ideas for special packaging themes, gift boxes, or seasonal branding.

Contribute to layout planning, visual aesthetics, and material combinations.

Experiment with textures, coatings, and embellishments in box packaging.
Learning & Documentation:

Take notes, follow standard operating procedures, and maintain training documentation.

Learn about packaging materials (chipboard, paper, lamination, etc.) and box construction methods.

Follow safety and quality control guidelines.
