Key Responsibilities:

Packing Customer Orders:

Pack products in shopping carts or bags for customers, ensuring that they are properly arranged and secure for transport.

Handle products carefully to avoid damage, especially fragile items like glass or delicate packaging.

Ensure that products are correctly placed in bags according to their type (e.g., food items, electronics, or fragile products) to prevent damage.

Double-check for any missing items or discrepancies in the customer’s order before packing.

Customer Interaction:

Assist customers in packing their purchases when required, particularly during busy times.

Greet customers in a friendly and helpful manner while ensuring an efficient packing process.

Offer help with organizing or carrying large items, like bulky purchases, to customer vehicles or designated areas.

Maintain Cleanliness and Organization:

Ensure that the packing area remains clean and organized by clearing away empty boxes, trash, and packing materials.

Restock packaging materials, such as bags or boxes, to ensure continuous packing without interruption.

Assist in maintaining the store’s overall cleanliness, especially in areas near the checkout counters and packing stations.

Product Handling and Inventory Support:

Ensure that products are packed in a way that optimizes space and reduces the risk of product damage during transport.

Assist in organizing items on the shelves or in the storage areas when needed.

Support stock replenishment and inventory checks to ensure the store is adequately stocked with packing materials and supplies.

Labeling and Pricing:

Verify that all items are properly labeled with prices and any relevant information (such as weight or size) before packing.

Ensure that pricing labels or barcode scanning is accurate and up-to-date.

Safety and Compliance:

Follow all store safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

Ensure that packing is done according to the company’s standards and customer satisfaction policies.

Adhere to D-Mart’s hygiene and cleanliness standards in food areas, particularly with fresh produce, perishables, and groceries.
