Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Site Supervision and Execution
-
Supervise all on-site painting activities including surface preparation, priming, coating, and finishing.

Monitor work progress to ensure adherence to project timelines and approved schedules.

Allocate tasks to painters and subcontractors according to their skills and experience.
-
Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety guidelines.
2. Workforce and Team Management
-
Coordinate and manage a team of painters, helpers, and subcontractors at the site.

Provide technical guidance, resolve issues on the spot, and ensure team productivity.

Monitor attendance, work discipline, and safety practices among team members.

Conduct regular briefings to communicate work plans, safety protocols, and quality expectations.
3. Material and Resource Management
-
Ensure timely availability of required materials, tools, and equipment at the site.
-
Maintain inventory records of materials used and submit requisitions for additional supplies when needed.
-
Prevent wastage and monitor efficient use of paint, solvents, brushes, rollers, scaffolding, and other tools.
4. Quality Assurance
-
Conduct visual and technical inspections of work in progress and completed work.

Ensure the correct application of paints and coatings as per manufacturer guidelines and client requirements.

Report any quality deviations or defects and initiate corrective actions immediately.

Maintain detailed records of surface conditions, environmental factors, and paint application data (e.g., number of coats, drying time, etc.).
5. Coordination and Communication
-
Act as a key point of contact between the site team, project manager, clients, and vendors.

Attend site meetings and provide updates on project progress, manpower, and challenges.

Coordinate with civil and electrical teams to schedule painting work around other site activities.
-
Handle client queries or concerns related to site conditions, paint quality, and finishes.
6. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Compliance
-
Enforce health and safety protocols at the job site, especially when working at heights or with chemicals.

Ensure the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) by all workers.

Conduct safety toolbox talks and report incidents or near-misses promptly.
-
Ensure compliance with local labor and environmental regulations.
