Key Responsibilities
1. Parcel Pickup & Delivery
- Collect packages from the distribution center, warehouse, or local hub.
- Plan efficient delivery routes to minimize travel time and fuel costs.
- Deliver parcels to residential and commercial locations within the assigned area.
- Ensure secure and proper handling of fragile, confidential, or perishable items.
- Obtain signatures or proof of delivery from recipients when required.
2. Customer Interaction
- Provide excellent customer service by being courteous, professional, and responsive.
- Answer customer inquiries regarding delivery status, package handling, or delays.
- Handle complaints, returns, and special delivery requests efficiently.
3. Vehicle Operation & Maintenance
- Operate delivery vehicles safely and follow all traffic rules and regulations.
- Conduct regular vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues.
- Keep the delivery vehicle clean and in good working condition.
4. Documentation & Record Keeping
- Scan and log packages using handheld electronic devices or paperwork.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, attempted deliveries, and returns.
- Report any lost or damaged packages immediately to the supervisor.
5. Safety & Compliance
- Follow company policies and guidelines for package handling and security.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations while loading/unloading parcels.
- Use lifting aids or follow proper lifting techniques to prevent injury.
