Key Responsibilities:
1. PCB Design and Layout:
-
Design single-layer, double-layer, and multi-layer PCBs based on circuit schematics and product specifications.

Perform component placement, routing, and layer stack-up design using PCB design tools.
-
Create and manage PCB footprints, symbols, and library files.
2. Collaboration and Integration:
-
Work closely with electrical engineers to understand schematic details and design intent.
-
Collaborate with mechanical design teams to ensure PCB fits the enclosure, thermal considerations, and mechanical constraints.

Coordinate with manufacturing partners or vendors for DFM and DFA feedback.
3. Signal Integrity and Simulation:
-
Ensure high-speed signal integrity, impedance matching, and proper grounding techniques.

Run simulations and design reviews for EMI/EMC compliance, power integrity, and thermal analysis.

Apply best practices for analog, digital, RF, and mixed-signal design as per the application.
4. Documentation and Output Files:
-
Generate Gerber files, Bill of Materials (BOM), pick-and-place files, and assembly drawings.

Prepare design documentation and technical reports for project archives and production reference.

Maintain version control and documentation of PCB designs for traceability.
5. Prototyping and Testing Support:

Support prototype fabrication, assembly, and initial testing of the boards.

Assist in board bring-up, debugging, and design changes if required.

Implement revisions based on testing feedback, customer input, or production needs.
