Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Plant Performance Monitoring:

Monitor real-time and historical data from solar power plants through SCADA systems, remote monitoring platforms, or other IoT tools.

Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as:

Energy generation
-
Performance ratio (PR)
-
Capacity utilization factor (CUF)
-
Inverter efficiency
-
Specific yield
-
Plant availability
-
-
Ensure the plants are running within expected performance thresholds.
2. Data Analysis and Benchmarking:

Analyze large datasets to detect patterns, anomalies, and performance degradation.

Benchmark performance across multiple plants or locations to identify best practices or underperforming sites.

Perform root cause analysis of low performance or equipment failures (e.g., inverter tripping, string mismatch, shading losses).
3. Fault Detection and Troubleshooting:
-
Detect equipment or system faults using automated alerts and manual review of performance data.
-
Coordinate with the O&M team to raise service tickets and track resolution of faults.
-
Prioritize and categorize faults (critical, major, minor) for faster decision-making and resource allocation.
4. Reporting and Documentation:

Generate daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports for internal teams and external stakeholders (investors, clients, regulators).

Develop dashboards and visualizations to communicate performance metrics effectively.

Document operational incidents and resolutions for future reference and learning.
5. Collaboration and Coordination:

Work closely with O&M engineers to validate on-site issues and implement corrective actions.

Liaise with asset managers to provide performance updates, ROI impact analysis, and plant health summaries.

Interface with SCADA vendors, hardware suppliers, and EPC teams to resolve technical issues affecting plant output.
6. Optimization and Recommendations:

Propose improvements in plant operations, such as inverter loading strategies, cleaning schedules, or preventive maintenance planning.

Support engineering and project teams in analyzing new site data or retrofitting needs.

Recommend performance improvement initiatives based on data analytics and predictive maintenance models.
7. Compliance and Standards:

Ensure that performance tracking and reporting adhere to regulatory standards, project SLAs, and safety protocols.

Maintain documentation and audit trails for compliance and third-party inspections.
