QUALIFICATIONS
Responsibilities:
- Read and understand requirements from technical specifications
- Write Perl code that accurately reflects the requirements and design documents
- Write Java code that accurately reflects the requirement and design documents
- Write unit tests that exercise all major logic components of the code
- Deploy, maintain and performance tune all reports/systems
- Level-3 support for applications owned by team
- The candidate should have 3 or more years of experience coding.
- He/she should be capable of understanding and solving complex problems, have solid communication skills.
- Financial services experience preferred.
Required:
- Strong proficiency in Perl (3+ years)
- Strong proficiency in Java.
- SQL (3+ years)
- Bachelor Degree or higher
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Experience following the SDLC (Waterfall, Agile)
- Work experience as level-3 support for applications
Preferred:
- Experience working in medium to large-scale development projects
- DB2, Sybase
- Version control
- Perforce
- Eclipse
- Spring
- Hibernate
Desired:
- Knowledge of trading data, positions data, reference data.
- Knowledge of OATS reporting
- Financial industry knowledge, preferably in Sales & Trading or Investment Banking
