Pest Control Technician
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
1. Site Inspection and Assessment
-
Visit client premises to conduct thorough inspections of buildings, surroundings, and storage areas.

Identify pest types, level of infestation, and potential entry points or breeding grounds.

Assess the environment to determine the most appropriate treatment method based on the infestation.
2. Pest Control Treatment Application
-
Apply pesticides, baits, traps, or other pest control methods as per industry standards and company protocols.
-
Use equipment such as foggers, sprayers, dusters, and fumigation tools safely and effectively.
-
Ensure proper dosage, method, and timing of pesticide applications based on the pest species and safety regulations.
3. Safety and Compliance
-
Follow all company, state, and local safety regulations when handling chemicals and equipment.

Wear and maintain appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.

Ensure that all treatments are compliant with environmental health and safety guidelines.
-
Properly dispose of chemical containers and pest waste according to company and environmental protocols.
4. Client Communication and Support
-
Explain pest control procedures, risks, and safety measures to clients before and after service.
-
Provide post-treatment instructions and recommendations to prevent future infestations.
-
Maintain a courteous and professional demeanor during all client interactions.

Address customer concerns and follow up when needed to ensure satisfaction.
5. Documentation and Reporting
-
Maintain accurate service records, including inspection results, chemicals used, and services rendered.

Submit reports to the operations manager or team lead daily or as scheduled.

Log client feedback, re-treatment needs, and follow-up appointments in the service management system.
6. Equipment and Vehicle Maintenance
-
Inspect, clean, and maintain pest control equipment regularly.
-
Ensure company vehicle is well-stocked, clean, and in good operational condition.
-
Report any issues or needed repairs to the supervisor immediately.
