Admission to Ph.D. Programme

Applications are invited for admission to the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) programme beginning in Autumn 2019. The programme will be offered in Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) and Electronics & Communication Engineering.

Eligibility :

Computer Science Engineering :-  1. M.Tech/B.E./B.Tech or equivalent in Computer Science and Engineering/Electronics and Communication/ Telecommunication/ Electronics and Instrumentation/ Electronics/ Electronics and Electrical/ Electrical Engineering with a consistently good academic record in relevant discipline. The candidate should have first division or equivalent in both Bachelor and Master level degree.  2.   Candidates seeking admission, should have valid score in GATE/UGC-NET/CSIR-NET (in Computer Science, Electronics and Communication or related field) or completed M.Tech with Gate Score.

Electronics and communication Engineering :-  1. M.Tech/ B.E/ B.Tech   in   Electronics   Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication, M.Sc (Physics) with specialization Electronics, M.Sc in Electronics, Electronics and communicationwith a consistently good academic record in relevant discipline. The candidate should have first division or equivalent in both Bachelor and Master level degree. 2. Candidates seeking admission should have valid score in GATE/UGC-NET/CSIR-NET (in Computer Science, Electronics and Communication or related field) or completed M.Tech with Gate Score.

Financial Assistance :

The Financial assistance of Rs. 25,000/- per month for 1st and 2nd year and Rs. 28,000/- per month for 3rd and 4th year will be offered to PhD Students based on Institute rules.

Sponsored candidates are NOT eligible for any financial assistantships

Application Fee :   Non-refundable application fee for each programme for candidates is Rs. 1000/- for UR/OBC candidates and Rs. 500/- for SC/ST/Women candidates. The application fee is to be paid by Demand Draft in favour of IIIT Ranchi  payable at Jamshedpur and the same shall be sent along with application form.
