Mechanical Engineering

1. Mechanical Design

Qualification: B. Tech (Mechanical / Aerospace / Production Engineering) + M. Tech (Machine Design or related areas)

2. Thermal

Qualification:B. Tech (Mechanical / Aerospace / Chemical Engineering) + M. Tech (Thermal – Fluid Science or related)

3. Manufacturing

Qualification: B. Tech (Mechanical Engineering / Production Engineering) + M. Tech ( Mechanical / Production / Material Science / Metallurgy and related areas)

Civil Engineering

1. Structural/ Earthquake Engineering

Qualification:M. Tech with specialization in the areas related to Structural Engineering / Earthquake Engineering or equivalent.

2. Geotechnical Engineering

Qualification:M. Tech in areas related to Geotechnical Engineering and B. Tech in Civil Engineering

3. Ground Water and Water Resource Management

Qualification:M. Tech in areas related to Water Resources, Agriculture, Environmental and Groundwater

4. Remote Sensing and GIS

Qualification:M. Tech / M.Sc. (NET mandatory for M.Sc.) in Remote Sensing & GIS / Geoinformatics / Geology / Glaciology/ related subjects / or equivalent on the discretion of short listing committee.

5 Environmental Science and Engineering

Qualification:M.Tech / MSc in Civil, Environmental or Biotech and B.Tech. in Civil, Environmental or Biotechnology

Materials

1. Nano Materials

Qualification:M.Tech/M.Sc. in Chemistry/ Chemical Engineering /Nano materials/ Nanotechnology/Polymer chemistry/Material science/

2. Condensed matter physics/thermoelectric materials

Qualification: M. Sc /M.Tech in Physics/Materials science

3. Materials Engineering

Qualification: M.Tech. (Materials/ Metallurgy/ Mechanical Design)
