Ph.D. Research Fellowship conduct ICRISAT

Requirement: Applicants should have, registered for a PhD program in any recognized Indian University or institutions and have completed or about to complete the course work Inclination for survey methods that include primary data collection in urban and rural India, behavioral experiments, data analysis and handling of econometric software such as STATA is necessary.Have a Master’s degree in academic discipline related to the proposed research topic such as:General economics,Agricultural and resource economics,Systems science,
Development studies,Urban studies,Or any other related discipline with adequate background in econometrics and/or statistics.

Fellowship and Supervision: The selected individual will be funded (fellowship and research cost) to carry out the PhD research at ICRISAT, Hyderabad, India under the scope of the above mentioned project. The student will be co-supervised by the PI or Co-PI of the project at ICRISAT along with the supervisor from the University. Apart from stipend, the PhD candidate will be financed for a short research stay in Year 3 to the Department of Economics, Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, Uppsala, a summer training school and an international academic conference.
