Job Description
**Pharmacist**

Key Responsibilities:

Dispense prescribed and over-the-counter (OTC) medicines accurately to customers.

Read and interpret doctors’ prescriptions, and ensure correct dosage and instruction.

Provide advice to customers regarding medication usage, side effects, interactions, and storage.

Maintain records of prescriptions, sales, and inventory as per statutory requirements.

Keep a regular check on stock levels, expiry dates, and place timely orders for replenishment.

Ensure that medicines are stored properly under recommended conditions (temperature, light, etc.).

Manage the billing and POS system, ensuring correct pricing and discounts where applicable.

Coordinate with pharmaceutical suppliers and distributors for stock procurement.

Assist in handling customer queries, resolving complaints, and delivering excellent service.

Stay updated with new drugs, regulations, and changes in pharmacy laws.
-
Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and proper labeling within the store at all times.

Handle cash and maintain daily sales reports and cash flow records.

Guide junior staff or salespersons in handling basic pharmacy operations.
