Job Description
Position Overview
We are looking for a responsible and knowledgeable Pharmacist (without license) to support the daily operations of our medical store. The candidate will be responsible for dispensing medicines, managing stock, guiding customers on usage, and maintaining accurate records.
While licensed pharmacists are typically required in pharmacy operations, this position is designed for experienced professionals without a license who can efficiently manage day-to-day pharmacy functions under the guidance of senior staff or management. Candidates with prior experience in handling medical stores will be given preference.
This role requires attention to detail, good product knowledge, and excellent customer service skills, ensuring that customers receive the right medicines and advice in a safe and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities
1. Medicine Dispensing & Customer Service

Assist customers in purchasing prescribed and over-the-counter medicines.

Explain dosage, timing, and storage instructions for medicines.

Guide customers regarding basic medicine usage, side effects, and precautions (as per store guidelines).

Handle queries related to general health products, supplements, and medical devices.

Maintain a polite, professional, and customer-friendly approach at all times.
2. Store Management & Operations

Manage daily operations of the medical store, including opening and closing.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe pharmacy environment.

Ensure proper arrangement and labeling of medicines for quick access.

Supervise support staff and coordinate with suppliers/vendors when required.

Handle billing, invoicing, and POS systems for smooth customer transactions.
3. Inventory & Stock Management

Monitor stock levels and ensure timely reordering of medicines.

Check for expiry dates, damaged products, and storage conditions.

Maintain accurate records of inward and outward stock movement.
-
Coordinate with vendors and distributors for supply chain management.

Maintain stock registers and support periodic stock audits.
4. Compliance & Documentation

Follow standard pharmacy protocols and organizational policies.

Ensure proper documentation of sales, stock, and purchase records.

Assist in generating reports related to sales, stock status, and wastage.

Maintain basic regulatory and compliance awareness as per store rules.

Support management during inspections or audits.
5. Teamwork & Support

Work in collaboration with licensed pharmacists (if available) and store managers.

Assist colleagues in handling peak-hour operations.

Train junior staff in store handling and customer assistance.

Report issues related to medicine shortages, customer complaints, or stock discrepancies to management.
Required Skills & Competencies
Technical Skills:

Basic knowledge of pharmaceutical products, dosages, and uses.

Familiarity with medicine names (generic and branded).
