Key Responsibilities:
For Pharmacist:

Prescription Handling:

Accurately interpret and fill prescriptions given by doctors.

Cross-check patient information and ensure proper dosage instructions are given.

Counsel patients on how and when to take prescribed medicine, and discuss potential side effects.

Customer Service:

Assist walk-in customers with over-the-counter (OTC) medications.

Provide information regarding usage, dosage, and storage of medicines.

Maintain a helpful and professional attitude at all times.

Inventory Management:

Maintain and update stock of medicines regularly.

Check expiry dates and ensure proper storage conditions.

Handle ordering and restocking from suppliers/vendors.

Record Maintenance:

Maintain records of prescriptions, purchases, and stock levels.

Follow legal and company procedures for selling controlled/schedule drugs.

Generate bills using pharmacy software or POS system.

Regulatory Compliance:

Ensure the pharmacy complies with health regulations and licensing requirements.

Maintain necessary documentation for audits and inspections.
