The Chief Information Office (CIO) organization plays a key role in IBM’s ability to turn vision to reality by making the environments simpler, more intuitive and more effective. As a PHP Web Application Developer, you will design, develop and support application solutions with focus on building and testing PHP application.
- Translating systems requirements into Web application design specifications
- Debug/performance tuning application code to support development
- Responsible for documenting design, changes to application
- Participate in daily scrums and work closely with leads and project managers to provide status on timely basis
- Prepare install scripts and code promotion procedure as well as build automation
What you’ll do:
- Developing enterprise applications leveraging the full spectrum of PHP technologies and design patterns
- Collaborating with Clients, team members and business analysts to translate business requirements into technical requirements
- Must be hands on professional with PHP coding and implementation experience. It is mandatory that incumbent is currently working and delivering development tasks
- Involved in the Business Requirements gathering wherein the Client’s business process is studied in detail
- Business Requirements is understood and analyzed by having frequent interaction with various user levels to understand their requirements

Required Professional and Technical Expertise
- Minimum 3 to 5 years relevant work experience in application development
- Demonstrated experience in Development, unit test application modules based on specified design using PHP, AngularJS, NodeJS, HMTL5, CSS, J2EE/DB2 technologies using Agile Methods
- Experience with implementing applications with SOA and MVC architectures
- Experience with Agile project development methodologies
- Experience with Web Services, Restful or SOAP
- Experience with designing, developing, and implementing across LINUX/UNIX and Windows server operating systems
- Experience with collaborating across multiple functional/technical teams to deliver a project
- Experience designing and implementing Apache PHP and Java application and servers (e.g. JBoss, Apache, Tomcat, Weblogic, Websphere)
- Experience with Databases and having good knowledge of database

- Exposure to automated build & DevOps tools like GitHub, Jenkins and agile ways of working.
- You love collaborative environments that use agile methodologies to encourage creative design thinking and find innovative ways to develop with cutting edge technologies
- Ambitious individual who can work under their own direction towards agreed targets/goals and with creative approach to work
- Intuitive individual with an ability to manage change and validated time management
- Up-to-date technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications
