Job Description
We are looking to hire a talented PHP developer to manage our back-end services and ensure a seamless interchange of data between the server and our users. As a PHP developer, you will be responsible for developing and coding all server-side logic. You will also be required to maintain the central database and respond to requests from front-end developers.

Key Responsibilities

Back-End Web Development
Write clean, maintainable, and efficient PHP code for web applications. Develop features, modules, and services that power the application’s back end. -
Database Management
Design and maintain relational databases using MySQL, MariaDB, or PostgreSQL. Optimize database queries and ensure data integrity and security. -
CMS and Frameworks
Develop and maintain websites using content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Joomla, Drupal) or frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter. -
API Integration and Development
Design and consume RESTful APIs or SOAP services. Integrate third-party services and APIs (e.g., payment gateways, social logins, cloud storage). -
Code Testing and Debugging
Conduct thorough testing and debugging of code to ensure quality, security, and optimal performance. Use tools like PHPUnit or Codeception for automated testing. -
Security Best Practices
Implement secure coding techniques to protect applications from threats such as SQL injection, cross-site scripting (XSS), and cross-site request forgery (CSRF). -
Version Control and Collaboration
Use Git for version control. Collaborate with other developers using repositories (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket) and follow code review processes. -
Maintenance and Troubleshooting
Maintain and update existing applications. Troubleshoot issues, fix bugs, and implement enhancements based on user feedback or business requirements. -
Documentation
Document the development process, architecture, and standard operating procedures. Create technical documentation for APIs, modules, and features. -
Agile Participation
Take part in Agile or Scrum processes including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives. Estimate tasks and contribute to team planning.
